1999 - High above the skies over Macross Island an event was about to take place that would forever change the course of human history...
2009 - Launch day ceremony; Macross City, Macross Island (In the shadows of the great Macross Fortress)
Young Angel has just come on stage in her Pink Card Captor Sakura costume(See picture to the right), to be awarded the trophy for First Prize in the 1st Annual Macross Celebration Cosplay Contest, when all of a sudden a large explosion is heard, and a flash of intense light blinds the crowd; Alarms begin to wail, sirens all over the city indicate an attack. Everyone looks to the skies, a clear day, and they look to the front of the Macross to see a large piece of the island missing!
The Zentraedi struck without warning. Everyone knows of the events of that day. How the Macross intended to fold just beyond the moon and inadvertently jumped to Pluto, taking with it Macross City. It has been several months, and the Macross is well on it’s way back to Earth (approaching Jupiter for those who are curious) and this is where our story begins!
