For those who are new to Anime, or do not know what it is... Anime is an adopted term used to describe Japanese Animation cartoons. Unlike american cartoons, these are often adult oriented stories (note- this does NOT mean pornography) and content. For example, there are anime series dealing with the complex relationships of many characters like American TV series, there are great movies dealing with moral issues and even epic tales of great wars and fearless triumphs over the impossible. In short anime is a different class of TV media alltogether, not falling exclusively into children's cartoons categories, nor mainstream late night/Prime time television.
